We spent our NYE in the Laurel Hotel @ranecenter at Auburn University. Enjoyed a tasting dinner @1856auburn and a rooftop cheers at midnight. A little bit of background to why this is so special: I (Laura) graduated from the AU hospitality management program about 10 years ago, they now have this AUsome new facility for the students to use and learn skills including coffee roasting, distilling and brewing sciences along with world class kitchen training classrooms. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the space but am pretty jealous this wasn't around when I was there in school! Anyways during school I had a mentor tell me that I would never be successful in this field and that I might as well change careers...fast forward to now my husband and I have built these two little shops and employ a wonderful small team of great individuals. I'm so happy that I could prove the "mentor" WRONG. It's a wonderful thing to be an entrepreneur, stressful as hell sometimes and all consuming, however we β€οΈ what we do. Ready to get back to it on January 5! HAPPY 2023 Y'ALL AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE AND CONTINUED SUPPORT, GONNA BE A GREAT NEW YEAR! π₯³πΎπ
P.S. if you read to the end thank you, normally don't do this long of posts π
